Questions

What merchants ask before installing

Do I have to export or upload my catalogue?
No. On Shopify your products are read live at search time, straight from your store. There is no import step, no nightly sync, and no second copy of your catalogue sitting somewhere going stale. Change a price and the next search already knows.
What exactly counts as one “AI search”?
Only a written answer. A shopper typing, browsing results and clicking through to a product costs you nothing, because Shopify does that retrieval itself. You are billed for the sentences the AI writes, which is the only part that costs us anything.
What happens when I run out of AI searches?
Nothing breaks. Shoppers keep searching and keep finding products — only the written answer pauses, with a short note, until you pick a plan. Your storefront never shows an error and never goes blank.
Will it work with my theme?
It is a standard theme app block, so it drops into any Online Store 2.0 theme from the theme editor — on your search page, your homepage, or both. It inherits your storefront's fonts and colours. No theme code is edited, and removing the block leaves no trace.
What do you do with shopper data?
Queries are answered and logged against a pseudonymous session identifier. We do not store IP addresses, customer accounts or order history, and Shopify's three mandatory privacy webhooks are implemented — if you uninstall and request erasure, the store's data is deleted.
Is there a dashboard with analytics?
Not yet, and the listing says so rather than implying otherwise. The app's admin page shows your setup steps, your AI-search usage for the month and your plan. Query-level reporting is the next thing being built.
I'm not on Shopify. Can I still use it?
Yes, through the CSV route: upload a product file, get your own indexed store and a script tag for any site — WooCommerce, Next.js, anything that can load JavaScript. Try it with your catalogue.
